I can't seem to figure out the BIOS FSB

Okay, so to start off, I bought a new Acer Aspire M1640 with a Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2180 @ 2GHz with 2GB of RAM included. I switched those two 1GB sticks of RAM to 2GB sticks of RAM. I'm running windows Vista and I'm not sure if thats the problem. I'm trying to change the FSB speed through BIOS like I've read. So many people are saying good things about the 2180 saying they got it up to 3.2GHz. Well, when I look up what the BIOS looks like to everyone else, they have alot more options then I do. I've went through EVERY option in my bios, and the only thing I can find with any relation to the FSB speed, is the temperature of my CPU, which helps with absolutely nothing. I was just wondering if anyone else knows another way, or maybe knows what I'm doing wrong? Either way, I'm not saying I want to crank it up to a 3.2, I just want to crank it up to atleast a 2.6-2.7. Got the new Warhammer Online and can barely play it at this point, way too laggy. Please reply. =)

It means your motherboard is bios locked. Most prebuilt machines from large companies (Dell, HP, etc) lock/cripple their machines so you'd buy a new one instead of overclocking your existing PC.

Sure there is, buy a new motherboard. The only other option for you is to go with an alternate BIOS, but that means scouring the Internet to see what will work with your board and what not. I wouldn't recommend trying a Custom BIOS on it if it's your main machine since if you do it wrong, or get the wrong one, you'll get a crippled box. If you do cripple the board and try and get a replacement machine via the warranty you had better static shock the CMOS, or run a magnet on it, to say it was defective. Really though if you do that your an &$$.
