[SOLVED] I can't select 144hz or 240hz on my new pc build

My monitor is 144hz (and apprently it can do 240hz as well with hdmi 2.0), but I can't see the option to select it in display settings.

It's IPS LED if that matters, and it has a hdmi cable and some ugly ass other one, I have it plugged into my rx 550 if that matters (it's an older card thats entry level).

I'm thinking of buying a hdmi 2.0 but if you read the section under "HDMI" it says it can support 144hz at 1080p with hdmi 1.3-1.4 but I can't select this (I don't even know what HDMI version I have).

The link you provided for yoru monitor shows that the 22B1HS is a 60hz monitor.

Your monitor only supports 60hz. The 144 and 240hz they are talking about on the website you linked is stating the HDMI specs, not your monitor.
