There is an update that locks up my keyboard after the start up gets to the log in screen so I have been doing a system restore when it installs (not sure why I have to do that, I selected to install updates manually).

The computer froze when doing a system restore and the computer was restarted. Now I cannot do the system restore because I can't select the drive I want to system restore. The box is there, but it won't let me click it (mouse and keyboard work in that screen). How do I get that box selected?

Thank you,
Eric

you can't, if the system lost power during an operation the data was lost. the system is now reporting that there is nothing to restore.
"You must enable system protection on this drive"
that means there is nothing to get back that windows can find. as far as windows knows that is a new drive that has not been indexed or set for data points.
