I can't set an avatar because everytime I try to, error 500 appears. HELP!

I've been trying to set an avatar from the past couple of days and always there's this error 500 appearing saying that something is broken. I've tried to find a solution and I haven't. My image is 100x75px but still it doesn't work.
Any help would be appreciated!
