So I am using the MSI Z97 gaming 5 motherboard and MSI GTX 970. I shoved the GPU in the slot, but I'm not exactly sure if it's in. Is the thing at the end of the PCIE slot supposed to lock in place or something? I tried taking it out, but it didn't work, and I am afraid to apply serious force, as the board actually starts to flex. Most likely that means that the GPU is in, but How do I take it out?(I am not very strong as am still a young teenager)Sorry if I am not making much sense, I'm just very stressed at the moment from handling such delicate components.

Solution
well theres 2 things you can try
1 complete the build and hope the gpu still makes good contact and it runs fine
2 break the pcie slot pulling the gpu, how you deiced to do that is up to you i have never had this issue and any help at this point is a best guess.
there should be a release of some sort at the end of the slot and a screw holding the other end to your case. Sometimes if you get the card cocked in there or something it can be a bit of a pain to remove without too much force.

try flipping the lock back up to get it out

and attempt reinstall if you cant get it to display anything on boot you may have broken that port
try a different port if possible if not a different mobo
if you still are unable to get it to display something you may have broken the gpu connector

don't forget to relax getting flustered wont help
