I can't tell what class I am!

This might seem somewhat crazy, but I've been playing random characters
lately - the problem is, I can't tell what class I've acquired! This is
particularly bad for picking talents at the start of the game, but even
after starting, I don't see my class listed anywhere. I used the '@'
command, but that doesn't show it either. Any ideas? I'm sure if I was more
experienced with the game I could tell from my inventory once the game
started, but that still doesn't help with initial talent selection.

Well if you skip past it before your starting talents, you can't check
it while choosing your talents. BUT in game, use "B" (capital) to see
some character info, including race & class.

So there's no way to play random and know what class I am before picking
Talents? 🙁

Sure there is. Don't skip past the background information; at the top it
tells you what race you are ("You are born a [foo]") and at the bottom
it says the class ("You decide to become a [foo]"; there is at least one
other message about leaving your tribe, I think that's for Beastfighter,
or maybe Barbarian). I just thought you meant you had skipped past
that part already 😉

*groan* Thanks for both then :) Now I can at least pick 'proper' talents
before dying ignobly in the puppy cave 😉
