I cant turn off Vsync (Nvidia)

I usually use the Nvidia Control Panel to turn vsync on and off depending on what game I play. I've done so before without any problems. But today when playing Skyrim, I switched it from Off to On because it makes it run better. But afterwards I went to play Counter Strike, which pretty much requires it to be off.

Whenever I turn it off (in both the global and the program settings) and click APPLY, if I open up CSGO or close the control panel and open it again it goes back to ON. I have tried rebooting and restoring the nvidia contral panel settings to default. Its incredibly frustrating. Any help?

I can give you another solution to try. Put Vsinc from Nvidia CP to "application controlled" and then turn it on for Skyrim from the game and turn it off for CS:GO (from the game
Or use on Nvidia CP for global: off and then go to the application options to turn it on for Skyrim only

I have the same problem... so weird because I can turn off the vsync in the control panel
and every test comes back as 60 even if I change the drivers...

Any idea's?

I know this thread hasn't been commented on in awhile, but did you ever find a solution? I have the same problem.
