Previously I used a motherboard with a VIA audio chipset and installed the VIA HD Audio Deck.
I change the motherboard and now the chipset is Realtek as the audio provider.

I successfully installed Realtek High Definition Driver but I can't open the Realtek Audio Manager.

There still is the VIA Audio Deck in the control panel and I can't uninstall it, failing with error: "missing essential files".

Solution
When changing motherboards, a new OS installation is recommended. "Ghost" problems like this will continue until you do a fresh OS install.
