I cant upgrade My Windows 8.1 to Windows 10

I got a Key for windows 10 and i got on the Microsoft site to download the Media Creation Tool but evrytime that i get past choosing should it be on a USB or on This Pc i get this Error Message:

"This tool cant Upgrade Your PC"
"The Language or Edition of your Version Of Windows on this PC Currently installed isnt Supported"

Choose the option to create media for a different PC, should work regardless of what version you have.
Personaaly I download the iso so I can burn a disk or flash drive later.

Clean install is what you need to do.
For whatever reason, your current OS cannot be simply 'upgraded' in place.

Save all your personal files elsewhere.
Wipe and reinstall the new OS.

Hopefully it works.

But, for whatever reason, your current install won't do an inplace upgrade to Win 10.
Time for a clean install.

You'll need one to do the Win 10 OS install, and one to store your personal data.


And when using the MediaCreation tool, don't select 'upgrade'
You need to 'create media for a different PC".
This will put all the needed stuff to doa clean install of Win 10 on that USB.

When ready, you then boot from that USB and do the install.
This WILL wipe out everything on your current drive.
Win 8.1 OS, applications, personal data...everything.
