Hello.

PC specs:
Motherboard: MSI Mag X670E
CPU: Ryzen 5 7600X
GPU: Zotac 4090 Trinity
PSU: MSI Meg Ai 1300P
corsair mp400 1t NVMe pcie M2.SSD (CSSD-F1000GBMP400)
RAM: Kingston Fury Beast DDR5-5200mhz 32GB (KF552C40BBK2-32)

I have 2 sets of the same ram, so a total of 64gb of ram and have filled out all 4 ram slots

I built the computer on friday, could not get it to post, after troubleshooting i found out it would only boot with 1 or 2 ram slot in.
After i was installing windows and setting it up everything was working fine,
But if i turn off or restart computer there is a 50% chance i get the dram diagnostic light, all i need to do i change out the ram that is in and put in a new and its okay again.
i have tried to turn of the computer and install all the ram and it booted and worked fine. but it crashed when i was watching a youtube film(guessing amd on board drivers and nvidia drivers were not happy so disabled amd driver and now i can watch youtube again,
so right now i only have 1 stick of ram in the pc,
These ram sticks were used in a b650 board without any problem
I have updated bios to the latest.
Also installed all the msi chipset driver
Checked that the ram was supported by the mobo,
Any guesses why it wont run stable with the ram that is in it ?

If you've verified that the BIOS is flashed to the latest version, clear your CMOS after powering down and disconnecting from the wall and display. Following that, make sure the rams are populating slots A2 and B2.

You might want to also try firing the the rams up without X.M.P/E.X.P.O enabled.

Check cpu socket for bent/broken pins.
Damage in cpu socket can make affected ram slots inoperable.
i checked when i didnt get the pc to boot first time, so am 99% sure they are not bent.
the wierd thing is if i have 1 or 2 ram slots in pc i can turn it of and plug inn the last two and boot, but if i need to restart dram light on mobo comes on

Are all ram currently fitted properly /making contact, because if even ram is not making Contact properly.. Then computer will hang.. Populate 2 slots first.. Then install 3 and the 4.. Also.. Reset the cmos.. And use any ram of the four to update bios..

Have updated bios with only 1 ram stick.
I toght you had to run ram in pairs, can i just stick in a third one ?

okay.
i just think it wierd that with even 1 stick i get a dram light, when i have booted with it and used the pc, but if i restart it i can get dram light and hafto change stick.

Hi, it might be a bit late for the reply. I met a similar issue to you. But I have a slightly different setting for you (2x16 5200Mhz + 2x32 5200Mhz). My CPU is AMD 7950x. I noticed from the specification page (https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-9-7950x) that the max memory speed it supports for 4x2R is 3600Mhz. So I have to manually set the memory speed to 3600Mhz for the successful booting. I hope this can help you as well.

Sorry for late replay, found the problem.
These ram are for 2 diffrent pack, they are the same specs but diffrent versions i guess, had to buy new ones, an the reson the pc crashes in 3dmark was becouse of a bad 4090
