i cant use ethernet

can i simply plug this wifi chip in and recive wifi? i just cant run an ethernet cable from my router.

just curious but if i plug it in a pci express slot (x16) will my enternet be faster? thx

Just plug it into the required PCI-E slot. It won't matter which one you plug it into, you won't see a performance increase or decrease. It should come with a CD for you to install drivers for. So basically, it is "plug and play".
