Yeah, temp decrease, it's much better. But nitrosense temp & frequency seem weird, they take more times to refresh.Have you checked cpu temp & frequency after applying new paste?

Is the temperature of the GPU/CPU lower than before reapplying thermal paste?
Maybe try Coretemp instead. Do something to get the cpu working and monitor temp and frequency.
Im wondering if it may be possible the drive cable could be dislodged slightly.
