Question I changed the electric board on my hard disk and now it is requesting a password

Hi, lately i ran into an issue with my HDD it suddenly "disconnected" and was no longer visible, I gave it to my IT personnel and he tried several options hoping to get it on so that i can take out the data but the device could not be detected finally he replace the circuit board and the enclosure was able to detect the HDD, however, it is requesting a password to access. unfortunately i never encrypted my harddisk, as far as i remember.
if it helps, I had Kaspersky on my laptop however i don't remember having an encryption option , The HDD came with the laptop i haven't replaced it yet, it's an ASUS Strix GL502VS

We can't help you with bypassing security measures such as passwords, contact ASUS support or the drive vendor. It may be a password stored on that replaced circuit board also.
