I cleaned a dusty case fan with water

I have a case fan that is extremely dusty, for some reason i thought that turning on the sink and cleaning the fan would clean it, yes it was cleaned but will it still work? It is still drying as of now

Wouldn't bet on it!
I'd let it dry as long as you can stand it. If you have access to a hair dryer set it on low temp hi flow and work that over fan until it is too hot to handle. Let dry until cool - connect it and hope.

Possibly, you may have messed up the bearings inside the fan. Tough to say, next time use a damp cloth or air compressor

to dry it, take it into an oven and set it to about 70°C if possible (no microwave) 1 hour should be fine.

If using an air compressor, disconnect the pins from the mainboard or keep the fan from spinning while blowing air. Otherwise it could destroy the fan controller/other parts of the mainboard

im going to let it dry for around 2 days and test it if it works thanks for the suggestions!
