i currently have a 750ti and i want to upgrade so i can get better performance in the latest games will i see a good increase when i upgrade from a 750ti to a 960ssc or do i have to go higher

Solution
I wouldn't upgrade from 750 Ti to 960. I myself had (have) the 750 Ti and was considering this too. But now, I have upgraded to 970. It have three times the power of 750 Ti and so, the 960 wouldn't be much of a big difference. Its more future proof too. You are able to play 1080p high settings even Witcher 3.

With your specs, you should be at least running high settings at 720p. You probably have a problem.

I suggest you make a new post with complete specs and the games you are having trouble with.

hardware compare is utter garbage. They dont actually compare fps in games, but blow smoke up your ass with meaningless technodribble.

Notice that in a actual game fps comparison - that witcher 2 data - the 960 is 58% faster than a 750 ti.

Always look at real fps comparisons in the games you want to play, in the resolution you are going to play at.

Thats true, maxalge. But it depends on the games too. Some are heavy cpu driven and some gpu driven. I searched more for real fps comparisons about these three cards, but did not found many. So I included that theoretical comparison too, which shows theoretical raw power only. Here is another benchmark:

Metro: Last Light
1920 * 1080, very high settings
GTX 970: 73 FPS
GTX 960: 52 FPS
GTX 750 Ti: 34 FPS

Battlefield 4
1920 * 1080, ultra settings
GTX 970: 94 FPS
GTX 960: 63 FPS
GTX 750 Ti: 45 FPS

It is not only how much better a card is, but when you reach what you want. I admit the 960 is a very good card and I would buy it, If i could not afford more and would not upgrade from 750 Ti. Also it depends on your hardware, if your psu is enough and if other parts not bottleneck your card.
