So, I was trying to clean out my ssd and accidentally deleted my downloads folder. I didn't have anything important on it but I cannot download anything from the internet. I do not have any restore points or any way to download the correct files from the internet. PLEASE HELP! Edit: when I try and download something using Microsoft edge, it shows up in the download bar on the webpage but will not download. Previously things started downloading instantly so this is new!

Solution
According to comments I've read on other sites, it appears as if you are not using the latest version of Edge. Try updating. The "Downloads" setting section was added after the Anniversary Update.

Edit: I have Win 10 Home... Edge version: 38.14393.0.0 (as seen in the "..." / Settings)
I did what they said already. I click download on whatever and it just doesn't download

I cant find the downloads section under advanced settings. I click on "..." in my browser and then advanced settings. I cannot find it

Hahahaha...gotta hate windows 10 😛 How bad can it get really? Is there a win10 hate fan page i can join? I reverted all my win10 pc-s in my caffe back to win7, didnt know even that can be a problem....like really microsoft....

It may just be a browser problem. I may go back to explorer. Liked it better anyhow.

Hate on Win 10 for this? Why?

User deletes something he shouldn't, and it is difficult to recover? How is this a Win 10 specific issue?

And in my 847th version of the following...
"This is what backups are for"

I don't have a problem with windows 10. I just don't care for Microsoft edge. Just not used to it I guess.
