In the BIOS for the p5wdh deluxe I cannot find the CPU clock ratio. I did some tweaking and am running my e6600 at 3.04ghz.

CoreTemp has my temps at 42-43 idle and when I click "Workload Level 100%" on TAT and the CoreTemp temps go to 62-63. The TAT temps are 1-2 degrees lower than coretemp. Is this my limit with air cooling?

Also, since I overclocked, when I reboot the machine actually powers down for about 1-2 seconds then comes back up. This also happens when I exit the bios (after selecting to "save" my settings). Is this a bad sign?

Just to be safe I am powering down my machine for the night.

Thanks!!

Eddie

Thats by design, apparantly the clock generator on the 975x is more stable that way or something, not 100% sure on the reason, but I know its supposed to happen.

You say you are using Air cooling, but is this the intel stock cooler or an aftermarket one? If aftermarket, which one?

The clock multiplier on the e6600 is fixed at 9x

You dont say what your RAM is running at so I cant tell you your current FSB:RAM ratio.

I am using the Scythe Ninja. I really to not want to have to re-seat it with new AS5 unless I really, really HAVE to as I'd have to take the whole dang computer apart and take out the mobo. I'd rather not overclock any more and stay at 3 ghz rather than reseat it.

I don't know what you mean by what my RAM is running at, but I set the timing in the BIOS to 4-4-4-15.
