I disabled my integrated gpu on my desktop. is this safe?

i disabled it because it consumes 1gb of the ram. after i disabled it. before was 6.95 out of 8gb. now my windows says a full 8gb ram usable. is this safe? thanks in advance. is this case same with a laptop?

no problem will occur but cant say about laptop as i dont own one. it consumed 1gb ram because it was using dedicated 1gb of ur ram but if u dont want 1gb to be consumed it will revert back to 128mb or 256 mb by default. no problem will occur i had done it in my previous machine.
