I do not want to use PPPoE

my isp did some...stuff, and now I can only connect via PPPoE
no idea if that's good or not but I dont want to have to manually connect everytime i start the computer

Im not sure how internet access was handled before, i just plugged the patch cable in and it worked

apparently i can chose between PPPoE, PPPoA, MAC encapsulated routing, 1483 bridging and 1483 routing

what choose?

Get the cheapest router,configure it for your ISP, problem splved. This will make you computer more secure, too, was it won't be directly exposed to the Infternet.
