Can anybody tell me what makes graphic card cannot be overclocked to higher settings.

eg. the screen will change into solid colours

Any soloution to solve this?

Because overclocking is not a guarantee with anything, just a bonus and some things overclock better than others. What card? How are you overclocking it? How much are you trying to overclock it by?
