I dont know my ethernet cable driver.

I bought and built a new PC. When i put in the Ethernet cable it says there is no internet. I did some digging and it was because there was no driver for the ethernet cable. But the problem is how do I determine what the correct driver for my ethernet cable is?

Your motherboard came with a CD.
The ethernet driver is on there. Along with many other drivers.

The thing is that I dont have a Optical Disk Drive

Then, from another PC with an optical drive, copy the contents of that CD to a USB.
Or, go to the motherboard website, find the LAN driver for your board, and download it to a USB.
Or, borrow an external DVD drive and use that.

I wonder how long it will be before manufacture start using a low capacity USB sticks rather than CD since a lot of machines no longer have cd. My latest one I even install win10 from usb.

Right. I just did a full reinstall on my main PC (Win 10 Pro), and about to do the same on my HTPC (Server 2016),...no DVD used.

Pretty much the only thing I use the DVD for is Netflix movies (yes, I get them on DVD as well as streaming).
