Hi,
I have been upgrading my PC for quiet some time. But I dont know if i am doing it right.
So this is my current config

Asus m5a97 evo 2.0 motherboard
AMD FX8350 8 core processor
Saphhire R9 280x graphics
and 2x8gb rams and 1x4gb ram

It runs WIN 10

i haven't overclocked anything. I haven't done any test or anything. But some how i feel i there is something wrong i am doing. Games do work fine but ultra isn't smooth for most games(i don't know if my system can take ultra).

And i am planning to get these new rams :http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Desktop-Memory-CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10/dp/B006EWUO22/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1449057613&sr=8-4&keywords=corsair+vengeance
Again i dont know if i require them. Please do let me know if i can do anything to improve my current system or if everything is right!

hey thanks for the suggestion, looking for 16gb...so i think i ll get 2x8gb...
but why gskil and not vengance?

You have 20gb in that PC already ???
No you don't need any more ram , pull the 4gb stick out & just use the 2x8gb sticks - you're losing dual channel mode with mixed sticks & there is a slight performance loss.16gb is more than enough for any gaming rig.

The 280x will struggle with ultra settings on new titles , this is a 4 year old card in essence.

High settings is generally where its most comfortable at nowadays.

hey thanks for the reply...
definitely pulling of the 4 gb one and those 8gb rams are from adata...should i get a better brand rams or something?or will those do?
and if i should buy a new graphic card ...what should i get?

Pull the 4gb out mate , ensure the other 2 sticks are in matching coloured sockets (both in the blue ones , ) for dual channel.

Download & run cpu-z & post screen grabs of both memory & SPD tabs (click on memory slot so the information populates in the spd tab)

Nothing wrong with a-data , uses hynix chips which are good quality.

For 60fps ultra nowadays you absolutely need a 390 or gtx 970 minimum
