I have an old toshiba 1tb-ish external hard drive. I cant format it for some reason and all the tips on the forum doesnt help. Then I accidentally pushed a few buttons at the disk management and my 1tb-ish HD is now only 37gb without any unallocated space. Thanks and sorry for being a noob.
Tried low level format using HDDGuru as suggested but no good..
delete all the partitions in disk management for that drive and it will make 1tb of unallocated space. Then right click on that and make a new volume and format as NTFS.
If repartitioning / reformatting from Disk Management doesn't help, you may need to run a low level format to reset the drive. There are plenty of guides online, just Google how to perform a low level format.
Good day, i tried low level format using HDDGuru as suggested by toshiba forum and it didnt work for me. still stuck with 37gb. i remember deleting partitions when i destroyed my HDD due to "format cannot be completed"
