Sorry I'm almost certain this is the wrong thread, but I can't find the right one, if you could answer this question that will be great.

Alright so I was trying to clear out some room on my SSD, I had no idea what I was doing. I was trying to move stuff onto my hard drive, but it didnt move over, I have no idea what I've done, but when I click it to certain apps, not all but some, it says the system can't find path specified, or the " can't open this item, it might have been moved renamed or deleted. I also started organizing my hard drive into folders, don't know I that helps or not. I've tried to reinstall several of the programs but still no luck. Does anyone know what's going on, is it actually really easy and I've been stupid, thanks In advance.

Quite simply, the shortcuts on the programs you have moved now have outdated directories.
All a shortcut does is point to the .exe file of whatever program its associated. Since you'v now moved the program and its .exe, that shortcut is now pointing in the wrong place, giving you that error.

Find the program wherever it is, make another shortcut from the .exe and delete the old one.

So could I just delete the program all together, and download a new one? Cause I've delete heaps of them, and downloading a new one didnt work? If I sound nooby bare with me haha

I used to work tech support and always loved that one. Someone deleted/moved/downloaded something and then they'd call me and ask where they put it. How the heck should I know?
