Question I don't know what's happening to my cpu

Every time i want to play something, a few minutes into the game my cpu reaches almost 80C and clocks down. I tried opening my laptop and cleaning my fans but that didn't solve the issue.

i was thinking about that, but where i live is extremely difficult to get thermal paste. but thanks anyway!

What are the laptop specs? Most laptops get pretty hot. I have an Helios 300 and it the 7700hq gets toasty. I was able to undervolt the CPU some to reduce the heat while still keeping it stable.

Ultimately, 80C is warm for a desktop, but it is closer to normal for a laptop as so much hardware is put in such a small space.

soo the processor is an i5-7300HQ but the problem is that i've had this laptop for over a year now and i've never had this problem before. i will try to change the thermal paste anyway
