Bought new CPU. It's a FX-6100, but when I installed it last night, my motherboard wouldn't start up. The power wouldn't turn on. As in, I'd push the power button, but it'd turn off about .5 seconds later. Spent about 30 minutes wondering what the problem was, until I put my old CPU back in.
Here's the CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103962
My motherboard is: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/880GM-P51.html#/?div=CPUSupport
I just realized...that it's not supported :/ Usually I'm not this careless when buying upgrades...
Though I have been looking around the internet, is there any way I can get this working? Bios update or something?
