Hello, I dropped some juice on my razer blackwidow ultimate, that became really sticky, and I using rubbing alcohol did not work to remove the stickiness off the keys, and it actually increased it... So, I used some wd-40 which is really great for clearing the stickiness out from my switches, but I'm having a problem, now these keys have bee dry for like 2 days, and my "N" key is messing up, sometimes it types in double "N" and sometimes it doesn't even type, and sometimes it's okay. I just wanna know, could the "N" key be the ONLY key affected from the juice? by that I mean, is it from the board, or is it just because the stickiness is affecting the contact with the board??? Thank you.

You could remove the keys and scrub them each individually, but that would take a lot of time and you would risk messing up that expensive keyboard. Of course there is an alternate way to do this. Thankfully the BlackWidow Ultimate is a mechanical keyboard... Assuming you already voided the warranty by spilling juice on it, here are some steps:
1. Get some bottles of rubbing alcohol
2. Bathe the keyboard in the alcohol while continuously pressing the keys
3. When you are done, put the keyboard on the top shelf of your fridge to dry out
Make sure that it is PURE alcohol, nothing that conducts electricity. This is just a precaution.
You can let it air dry, rubbing alcohol dries quickly.
I have never tried this myself on my own keyboard, but it will work.
This ONLY works with fully mechanical keys, so anybody else reading be cautious!

As for the sticky part, take out the key, take out the mechanical switch, and you can wipe out the stuff with a towel. Just be sure to put it back right 😛
Hope this helps!

Well... It's been a month now, after that incident, and I will try to keep this post update for those with similar problems. All the keys are now clicky and tactile, because I've treated the keyboard with some wd-40 with more than a couple of times. The "N" still has the same problem, and I noticed that when ever I push hard, 2 "n"s come out instead of one, so if I hold down on the "n" key with a little bit of pressure, I can see that there is an "N" and nothing follows, that means there's something really wrong... After I take my finger off the "n" there goes another "n", so it's like "nn", no more "n"s and no less :/. I've ordered a mechanical switch, but my "n" switch go so killed that I don't think it can be ever removed, I tried to remove it with a screwdriver, and it's basically really messed up and broken, I'd rather not desolder it, though... So, I think taking out the switch is the only option. (btw the blackwidow is a PCB keyboard) So... If any if you folk out-there know any technique that will help remove the switch without furthur damage, I would really appreciate, also, keep inn mind that I want a dyi tool, I need to fix this thing really fast, buying a tool will have to come here in like 2 weeks at the best! Please help, and tell me if it is from the board or not, so I can try to desolder :<. Thank you for future replies, and I hope this helps the people with the same/similar issue.

Warranty is automatically void from spills. You can read that on their website if you want to know what else voids the warranty. The moral of the story is: don't get juice in your room, water spills are very fine, because water will dry, keeping your clicky keys and nice feel to them, I do't have that now, the keys are stiffer. I had to learn the hard way.......

Well, I need further help in taking out the cherry switch without de-soldering, do you recommend that I create a new thread o the forum and retire this one, or should I just wait in here for a reply on some DIY tools for taking out the switch? Thank you in advance.
