I feel like my 1050ti is performing worse than what i see on youtube.

PC specs.
Motherboard: asus h310m-k
GPU: 1050ti
cpu: i5-7400 CPU 3.00GHZ

Like i literally don't understand, I watch youtube and see all these 1050ti lowest settings videos specifically monster hunter world. They're getting a constant 60 frames, meanwhile I'm getting 40 on lowest and even lower... :/ I literally don't understand. Anyone know the reason? I feel like my pc isn't performing to it's full potential. My power supply has exploded before i don't know if that has anything to do with this, but i got it fixed form my local pc store and he said nothing was wrong with the parts... So literally no clue. Any help by chance?

Solution
Your motherboard UEFI/BIOS may be outdated, search its name with Google to find the last version from ASUS official website, and there they should explain you the steps to install it.
Are you sure that your settings and the settings in these youtube videos are 100% the same? Make sure that the resolution is the same and that you are in te same spot as in these videos. CPU could also be a reason but i dont know how much of an impact cpu has in a game like MHW and i kinda doubt that 3.5ghz i5 is too weak.

Yes It's the same settings, I don't know why i get such terrible fps.

how about we address the elephant in the room?
Are you overclocking your 1050ti? If so, exactly how are you overclocking? Did you know you have to go into MSI Afterburner settings and unlock the voltage slider and put it to the max to get even higher clocks?

If you aren't overclocking at all, then that's most likely why you are experiencing sub par performance.

xSimply1337x, an overclock wouldn't bring up the 1050Ti from sub40FPS to over60FPS. The problem is something else.

PS and off-topic, which is the voltage you're applying to get 4.7Ghz with your 6700k? Have the same processor and just got and AIO, working very cool at stock speeds and -0.16V offset... So just to have a clue about how much can I push it ;D

Code:

It isn't overclocked,

1050Ti is getting 60fps with i7 on most of the test I have seen.

If you're concerned about parts underperforming, run userbenchmark and post the link.

The GPU performance is normal. It's the RAM + CPU.

GPU overclock if you want:http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3780453/graphics-card-voltage.html?_ga=2.91625759.401605060.1534371015-8295838.1532003885#21300452

CPU: Make sure it's staying below 80c. It should turbo up to 4.5GHz instead of 4.2GHz.

RAM: You should have bought dual channel 2x4GB instead. Overclocking might reduce the bottleneck a little buy you need another RAM of the same model to get the boost needed.

Update BIOS too. Google if you don't know how.

Also, as you mentioned, close unnecessary programs while gaming.

what does updating my bios do?

if you can resend that link with the asus b150am 2 motherboard that'd be greatly appreciated didn't think i got my motherb oard wrong lol

That was close. I noticed the name difference on benchmark buy I thought it was reporting wrong. Common sense would have told me 7th gen Intel doesn't work on 300 series Mobo.

Make sure it's your motherboard.

Also, you didn't tell me your CPU temps.

my cpu temps normally? or when in in a game

zebarjadi.raouf, the CPU shouldn't be a problem if working at good temperatures.. And it's not up to 4.5Ghz, it is tipically 3Ghz with a max of 3.5Ghz when performing in a single core. But again the CPU shouldn't be a problem:

Red/blue are average FPS with that CPU for an AMD/Intel processor, and grey is the minimum FPS achieved. This game isn't CPU bounded.

naaman12344 the temps we should now are temps while gaming. Again, install Rivatuner + MSI Afterburner to get CPU and GPU usage and temperatures.

Then why am i getting such terrible fps?

You're not listening, you have to tell us the temps while gaming. If that two last screenshots were like gaming probably you were jumping to the desktop and the CPU would have cool down by the time you did the screenshot, or maybe the CPU is working slowly, but we can't know.

Install Rivatuner + MSI Afterburner and just write to us your temps after a while playing.

The 8100 is about a 10% better than a 7400, it's noticeable but not like dropping from 72FPS to below 40FPS.

In the screenshots while gaming you can see that the CPU temperatures are still like idle. naaman, check the energy settings of the computer, maybe it's economizing and limiting hardly the CPU usage. You can find these pressing Windows + writing "energy" and looking for advanced settings and energy plan. Window's balanced option should be fine. Also you can try to assign the cores afinity to the game in the task manager.

PS: Still not showing the quote per answer buttons, maybe it's because the size of my browser window.
