I bought a nitro 17 for $999 and was an awesome deal because it was 13th gen 13700 4060 1tb gsync monitor everything I could ask for and didn't realize they gave it a 1440p display. The only game I play doesn't have support for any other resolution than 1080. I cannot believe they would build a budget gaming laptop and put a big beloved patriot screen on it. I felt bed and even explained to them at microcenter I can't even see the font unless im hanging my face over my keyboard to read it's like a phone but 17.3 in.

And now that Ive actually done some research I think I might have made a mistake because apparently they don't make 1920x1080 sized screens on gaming laptops anymore. The only ones I found are old msi pulses that barely have a mux switch(its like a real switch) you cant just like enable it. lol. that oldschool without gsync.

Anyway long story short does anyone know of a brand that has all the features I am looking for in a 1080 version of a 40 series 13th gen laptop with a gsync monitor? Any help would be greatly appreciated I was really impressed with nitros advanced optimus it had every feature I wanted except it just didnt look right to me. And they just don't make it with a 1080 screen as far as I can tell? Does anyone else know of a decent website? Thanks.

Wouldn't the screen allow you to change the resolution to 1920 x 1080?

I am assuming a 4k screen would but a 2k screen makes it unplayably blurry. :/
No, that's not the case. And @Fix_that_Glitch is absolutely right. By switching to 1080p in the control panel, it would work seamlessly. A 17 inch screen is fine for 1080p. In fact, a 1080p panel is good for up to 24inch. Pixel density will still be high, so there wopn't be any pixelation. And if it's only one game, then why send it back.

maybe its just my picky ocd about it but I for a fact know it doesn't look right if it scaled back. by default it wanted to do 1080 at 150% magnification. and even at 100% magnfication it looked horrible. Like as blurry as 1024 does on 1080. lol. it was tv sized bad. And at 100% 1440p it was so small you could literally see it work like a smartphone on small font I thought that was awesome. But i returned it because I figured if im gunna go super 1440p small I wouldnt want just 2k.. and 4k cost like 4x more money.

Hey,

I'm not really following your assertion that there are no FHD panel laptops available.

Well, with just a cursory glance, here's examples : https://www.msi.com/Laptop/Raider-GE68-HX-13VX/Specification

If you notice all of those options have FHD 1080p, and with the hardware you want.

Same with the other OEM's, like ASUS : https://www.asus.com/laptops/for-ga...Spec=6192,144929,162378&SubSpec=194560,194658

Now, whether they fit into your budget, I can' say. 1000$£€ limits things. Either you'll have to adjust your expectations, or get a bigger budget.

I noticed that all the ones I have found. especially by msi have no gsync. And that was my main point in the first post of this thread. Thanks tho!

I am really not following you. You want an inferior 1080p screen to play one game and complain about the font at 1440p but when switching to 1080 it is blurry to you. What game are you playing?
runescape 3 does not run to scale in 1440p and it looks even worse if you scale it back to 1080. I am assuming it looks ok at 4k but I don't have $4k to test that theory out. I need a 1080 FHD gaming laptop and from what I am seeing they only made a few last year and are eventually phasing it out completely. Which is goofy because 4k has been around for like 10 years.. What gives this year?

If a monitor has Freesync, then it can be used as G-sync with an nVidia card. You just need to use a DP cable. This is only if you use an external monitor. You are right on mid0-range gaming laptops. They often don't come wit VRR (like G-sync, Freesync, Xess support. But it is happening more and more.

That's why I am not buying atm. The latest nitro 17 does and I should have kept it considering I doubt they make anymore 1080 displays. it was a 2k display with gsync. the thing is if you find a 1080 display its like they wont give you a 4060 they are all 4050. And you cant customize the laptops like you can the desktops.
