i forgot my windows 10 key and i want to reinstal windows

my windows 10 is activated with a digital license linked to my Microsoft account

my question
if I reinstall windows and stay with local account NOT Microsoft account
will my windows 10 become activated by my motherboard id ?

If you reinstall windows on the same hardware, it will be activated automatically.
If you reinstall it on different hardware, you'll need your microsoft account and use activation troubleshooter to transfer license to new hardware.
