So I have this old Dell Optiplex 790 that I wanna turn into a home server. So I went ahead and formatted the drive to clear all the data on it using my current PC. I then installed Ubuntu Server ISO on a thumb stick. I started it back up and the windows automatic repair was still there? I thought formatting it would get rid of everything but whatever. So I went into BIOS and changed boot order so that the thumb stick boot first but then it says An OS wasn't found and to disconnect any drives that dont have an OS. Yeah doing that doesn't help either. Going into boot menu and booting from everything listed did nothing either. What should I do?
