I get a green screen

Whenever my monitors go into sleep mode,I will turn them back on (2 monitorsne monitor is hooked up through hdmi, the other vga) the hdmi will go into a green screen. If i unplugged the hdmi and plugged it back in again it works fine. How do I permanatly fix it to where there is no green screen at all?

I have a similar problem with a htpc I just built. Gigabyte MoBo with AMD A8 integrated graphics using HDMI out to a Samsung TV. If I turn the TV off and leave media center running and come back after a while, the TV shows a brief green screen, then turns itself off.

At first I thought it was caused by using drivers provided by Windows Update. So I reinstalled windows and used drivers provided directly from AMD and that seemed to fix the problem for a few days, but now I'm having the problem again.

Now I'm wondering if it might be the HDMI cable.
