I get no signal to the monitor

I have just sent my graphics card off for RMA.
So i connected my monitor to the cpu IO.
But now i have a black screen saying no signal from boot up.
do i need to connect the pci cable that was connected to the gpu before or something?

Is the monitor on the same source? VGA, DVI, HDMI?
Does the motherboard or CPU even have integrated graphics chip? (motherboard may provide support for it, CPU may not provide it to motherboard)

i have ryzen 1600 and msi b350 gaming pro motherboard. I'm sorry i know very little about this and cant tell you if they support an integrated graphics card. Could you please let me know or find out for me? Thank you.

Yeah, the CPU doesn't have any integrated graphics. Future Ryzen CPUs will, so thats why the motherboard has video outputs.
