It doesn't POST, no image on the screen, and no beeps. Resetting the CMOS or removing the battery does nothing. Removing the RAM and everything else, I'm left with the CPU, CPU fan and the motherboard itself, and still nothing. Is there still hope or should I replace the motherboard?

Solution
Minimum configuration for testing would be motherboard, CPU + fan, and memory. And assuming integrated graphics is available so no video card required.

Check the CPU and it's motherboard socket are not damaged.

Suggest trying minimum configuration, and making absolutely certain that ALL cables are connected properly (including CPU ATX_12V power). Ensure memory is also inserted properly.

If still no booting up, then try another PSU (at hand or borrow one).

If there are problems still, could try another DIMM (at hand or borrow one). And/or try original DIMM in another computer.

If still no luck getting system to boot, then suspect motherboard is faulty.

Yep. I'll have to get another one. Thanks for trying to help though. :)

I'm an idiot. I actually missed the 4-pin connector of the power supply that was supposed to go in the motherboard. And so I got it to work, after learning that from the new motherboard I bought. I'll try selling the old one.
