Hi,

I don't know much about computers or tech stuff. I just got a new computer that works on windows8. On the tower, it has a port for a VGA, hdmi, or dvi. Does this mean I am able to plug into each port and have multiple screens without purchasing a new video card?

Please help!

Thanks

It depends on the system. Some computers can operate two or three screens that way but many cannot. Can you supply the model and manufacturer of the computer so maybe we can look it up on-line and get that information?

According to the specifications on HP's Website the motherboard you have has only VGA and DVI outputs for the monitor. However, it does say that they can be used concurrently so you should be able to use two monitors with that computer. The specs are here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03517265&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&lc=en&product=5297099 http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03343058&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&lc=en&product=5297099#N548
