QUESTION 1 : ( Anwsered by jyjjy thx again !!! ) So, if i just change my video card ( Radeon 5450 :S.. xD ) for the 5670. Does my PSU will survive and make it work ???? or i need to buy a new PSU ?.... :(

On the official website, they said i need 400w for my 5450, but i dont have that and it work, so im confuse a loooot ( and why HP would make it unable to work ??? )

QUESTION number 2 :

I lovvvve the 6870 radeon hd.....

If i dont have a PCI express 2.1, can i buy a 6870 Radeon HD OR i need a new Mobo ? ...

If i dont need a need Mobo.

Does any Power supply will work on my crappy motherboard ???? if it's 500w and more + it's from a good compagny??? ( corsair, antec, seasonic ( thx to jyjjy ) )

In other way, could i get a 6870 working on my HPE-400f ????? Without buying a new Motherboard !!!

Thx and sorry for all confusion and bad english happy new years xD

The HD5670 or any card without an external power connector should work on most 300w power supplies. The HD5670 is really meant to be used at lower resolutions than you are using though. If you can afford it then replacing the power supply and going with a better card like the HD6850/70 or GTX 460/70 is a good idea.

And for PSU, does any 20 pin connector with 2 6-pin connector will work ?

i only have 1 HDD and 1 CD/burner drive combo too. and maybe 1 extra fan. ( in resume, does most of PSU got all the wired needed ? if i know i want a 6pin and 20pin i will be good with other wired that i dont know the name ? ( for CD drive and HDD and other.

I'm ultra noob sorry and the 6870 look nnnnnnnnnnnnnice.

THX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now i know my possibilities !

But i dont know finally if the 6870 would fit in my pc :S ( i got a HP elite and the mobo suck :O )

Only 1 spot for the video card i dont know if the double 6870 would fit right in :(

Damn gaming on pc can be complicateddddd...

STILL THX JYJJY

Well if there is an empty slot below the PCI-E x16 port then a dual slot card should fit. The length of the card fitting in the case is another question. The card isn't too long, slightly under 10" usually. Measuring to be certain is a good idea. If necessary you could get a new case for fairly cheap.

My HP elite is the tower model.

And, i got a empty space, but its seem to being ABOVE the slot...:S...

Like, if the empty space need to be below... i can't have that card :S....

And i have only 1 slot PCI :(

AND OOOOK,

I got HPE-400f http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/product/BT470AA%2523ABA

Sooooo, PSU upgrade and the 6870 would be nice on my machine ???

And does PCI express x 16 mean i can't use video card that need PCI express 2.1 or 2.0 ?....... :(

DAMN i hate my pc now.....

goood and about the PSU.

Does just any good PSU with 500w will really work for my motherboard for the HPE-400f.

I'm scare of buying it, then see the some wired is missing :O.

But i admit if my bad 300w got all wired, surely a good 500w will have all the cords for my motherboard, dvd-cd/burner, fan, etc etc...

And i look in my PC. and there is space about the PCI slot, and if the picture of the card are not ( mirror ) i think i will work ! Unless it's always below ( but i dont think so, it surely depend if your mobo is on the left or right ? )

But on the "free space" they are some little transistor or i dont know... Does the space need to be 100% flat ?????? Like that card will be very close at the Motherbother ( yeah, maybe it's a dumb question, im that much noob xD in PC hardware ).

ANNNND a other question xD, does my CPU ( phenom ii x4 945 ) is enough for the radeon hd 6870 ????

or the 5670 would be the best bet ??

xD sorry for my english again

And thx for all the response ! i will use all these info for my next buy !

As long as it's a good brand, 500 watts will be plenty.
If you're worried about wires, get a modular PSU. It will allow you to only use the wires you want to, and take the rest out of the case & psu.

The Phenom II x4 945 would work great with a 6870.
It would be bottlenecked by the 5670 though.

The english isn't that bad by the way.

Damn now Jaguar hype me up for 6870 and down for 5670 lol...

But now i understand more and it look less complicated. And about the wires, i worry to need more maybe ? But if my bad 300w have these wired, 500w should have the same and more.

Card readers and fans are 4pin connector right ??? ( my pc got these things ) and CD drive too ?

The silver things will be couverted too ( that thing i was worry ) its not problem too ? surely not you would tell me ?

and for my PSU i'm aiming for this one

CORSAIR CMPSU-550VX 550W ATX12V V2.2 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139004

Good choice for my motherboard and cpu and gpu and all things i dont really know ? xD

and i add, it will fit in my HPE tower right ? xD or i need to measure it up before ? ( i guess all PSU are the same almost ? )
