I assume that you have no data stored on the drive.
It would be nice if you just start with double checking the connections. You can attach the drive with different cables(both SATA and power ones) to another SATA port.
In case the issue persists, you can try to reinstall Windows.
If this does not help as well, you can take the drive out, attach it to another system as a secondary drive(either externally via SATA to USB cable + power cord or internally through SATA) and test it with WD's Data Liveguard Diagnostic tool(both short and extended tests): http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=ZSH8yf
