I got into an argument with my friends about lag in Fortnite...

So I had this situation when me and my friends were playing fortnite playgrounds the other day. I was playing PC and my other 3 friends were playing on PS4. They were claiming that if I lag in the game they will lag too. I was telling them that they are wrong because it is server based and my internet or game lagging does not affect them. They keep on disagreeing with the fact that they are wrong and they keep on telling me that I am wrong. Who is right in this situation?

I'm almost positive your friends are wrong. Fortnite has dedicated servers I believe.
