I got less points from Heaven Benchmark?

Almost year ago i remember running the Heaven Benchmark 4.0 and got about 1500 points with my GTX 970 Herculez X2 4GB and I5 3570K all stock settings.

Now i made the test today with same settings and got about 1200 points. I have all the newest drivers.

After this i have changed the motherboard and overclocked my CPU to 4.2GHz without any voltage increase. Could this be the reason for lower amount of points?

I have a Corsair CXV2 500W ATX12V2.3 PSU, z75 Pro3 motherboard and EVO 212 cpu cooler.

It could just be the typical Windows blaotcrap that builds up over a year and uses resources.

Is the only way to get rid of it a clean install? I remember now that i have also upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10

Well there are programs like ccleaner that may help, and virus protection scans and junk erasing software. But clean install is best.
