To sum up what happened:
I decided to get my second 1080Ti's waterblock profesionally installed (I found the first card extremely intense to install myself).

When I got the card back, I took off the backplates to this hideous job by the (not gonna mention any names) company.

The screws are all scuffed, and this little square thing is missing right next to one of the screws.
What I need to know is, if this square thing is important for the card? I assume it has something to do with the VRAM, but everything seems to work correctly.

Solution
if it runs it runs, if it don't it don't. Have you tried it?
If they messed it up that company should make you whole, either fix it or get you a new one. Unless you agreed to conditions of at-your-own-risk.
