so i get on newegg ordered all my computer stuff. had a couple difficulties last night but got it built + running in 2 hours flat ONLY to find out i accidentally bought 2 gigs of ram instead of 4!!!! :fou: :fou: :fou: :fou: :fou: :fou: :fou: :fou: :fou: :fou: should i return ti to newegg? im running 32 bit XP but i was PLANNING on running 64 bit vista but i only got 2 gigs of ram! crap! and also can i buy 4 gigs of ram making my total 6? advice? is 2 gigs ok for 32 bit?

I agree 2 Gigs is fine...

If you return it now however you could get 4 and not have 6 later...unless you think you may 1 day need 6 gigs.

I for one prefer 2*2gig for ram...

Looks like self-inflicted pain to me...

Anyway, yea 2 gigs will run 32-Bit Vista/XP ok. Your gonna want a minimum of 4 gigs on your way to 64-Bit.

before my last upgrade i ran vista with 1gb ram. didnt give me any problems.



i would return the ram, and get 4gb. after 4 you really dont see any gains, unless ur doing heavy multimedia editing, or stuff like that.

if your primarily doing gaming, stick with 4.
