I recently had Windows 7 installed as well as a new wireless adapter card. My system was working fine for about a week. Now it won't start. It attempts to start up but shuts down after about 3 to 5 seconds. It doesn't matter if I try again in the next minute or wait for several hours. It keeps trying to fully boot but shuts itself down. Any relation to the new OS?

it is an older system...64 bit...not sure what processor.

To troubleshoot your rig, we need to know the make/model of the system (if a brand name, like a Dell) or a list of the components, motherboard, CPU, memory, power supply, etc. Make and model of each.

As an older system, it could be many things (bad capacitor on motherboard, defective power supply, etc). The more info we have, the better advice you can get.
