I hate Samsung "smart" TV

I am having the exact same problem as EVERYONE here. I have a solid internet connection, my router and modem are sitting next to my samsung"smart" tv, and it says it cannot connect to the internet. I've changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4. and nothing has worked. How has Samsung gotten away with this? Somebody please help me! I bought this TV in June 2014 and have watched ONE episode of ONE tv show in 6 months!!!!
 
I have four Samsung Smart TVs and have setup at least a dozen others, so I don't think that everyone is having issues.

How about some additional information, like the model of your TV, your router brand and model and whether you ever configured the TV to obtain an automatic IP address from the router or if you are using static addresses.

Also, are you using those Google public DNS in the router or on the TV?

What content provider are you using, Netflix or Hulu or something else?

edit: and is your connection wired or wireless to the TV?
