Question I have 1 8gb stick, if i buy another of the samee make and model, will it dual channel right?

A while back i bought a corsair ram stick, i still have the link to the make and model i bough on amazon, if i buy the same exact model of ram, it should dual channel right? even if they arnt part of a set

Unknown. Even same make and model could have internal manufacturing difference. Matched sets of memory are sold for a reason. The manufacturer guarantees them to work together. Any other mix-and-match RAM is a gamble.

so to get this clear, i should cancel the amzon order, buy a set, and say *** to the stick i alread y have because theres no possible benefit to having 16 gb of ram unless its dual channeled

thanks for answering the question, thats irritating but whenever i play games like bf 5, it uses like all my godamn ram and then starts using 100 percent of disk, so i guess there go my tax returns on a 16gb set
