I have 2 980ti's with two monitors. Each monitor is plugged into a separate GPU. How can I plug both monitors into one GPU?

I have 2 980ti's with two monitors. Each monitor is plugged into a separate GPU. I want to enable SLI, but every time I do so in the NVIDIA Control Panel, it disables my second monitor. There is only 1 HDMI port on each GPU, how do I plug both into one GPU?

Edit: I'm an idiot who didn't realize you had to unplug the HDMI covers in the back. Sorry for wasting time xD

If the monitors are HDMI only use a DVI or Displayport to HDMI adapter.

Are they cheap monitors?

If so, maybe getting a good, main monitor might be a good upgrade since you have pretty nice video cards. If you see pcpartpicker there's some nice choices for IPS monitors. GSYNC is too expensive IMO, but maybe a 2560x1440, IPS monitor? (Acer has one for $250USD though the warranty isn't great. I bought my sister the $350USD Dell U2515H which has a great 3-year, zero dead pixel, no-cost return warranty).

DP to HDMI adapter would be the best choice, though I believe it needs to be an ACTIVE adapter which probably costs at least $30 for a half decent one.

That may work. I was confused if it worked both ways but the last comment says it does:

Cable splitters/adapters are something you should always have handy. They are relatively cheap and can be bought in bulk. Don't go too cheap because sometimes they burn out quickly. Pick a good brand and physical length and you should be good.

What other ports are on the 980Ti ? What ports are on the monitors ?

You are allowed to mix and match. For example if both monitor and 980ti have a DVI port then you can use DVI for one monitor and HDMI for the other.

Good only if he want the SAME image on both monitors.

What if he wants the left half of the image on one monitor and the right half of the image on the other? Splitter doesn't work.

Instead just use the HDMI port for one display and any of the other ports that are common to both the monitor and the 980ti and then he'll have the option of duplicating or extending his desktop on the monitors.
