I have 2 computers, same models. I want to get them to share information equally. Can that be done?

Two computers I want them to share files and information.

Get an inexpensive switch and connect each computer to it with ethernet cables. Open the Network and Sharing Center on one computer. From there you can set up a HomeGroup and add the sharing permissions you need. On the second computer, join the HomeGroup and setup shares on that machine.

not sure what share information equally means

but if just want to send files from one to the other its pretty simple

as long as they are on the same network either by ethernet or wireless

for windows 10 i just go this pc/network pick the networked device i want--enter its log in details then make a shared folder to drop stuff into
