I don't need to tell you exactly what drives are labeled as what. I just need a short answer. I have a 1tb hard drive that has all of my games and stuff on it. I have another hard drive that has windows 7. Can I, if I find the .exe files, run my programs without having to reinstalling?

Solution
No. If you format the 1TB drive (remove Windows 10) and install your programs while running inside Windows 7, you can install them where ever you like (120GB drive or 1TB drive).

Need more information.

If you have your operating system installed on one drive, you can install your games and other programs onto the second hard drive and run them without issue. However, even if you set the install location for programs to the second hard drive, some files are still written to the OS drive. If you format and re-install your OS drive, some those programs that you installed to the second hard drive will need to be re-installed.

Well I mean, I have windows 10 pro on the 1tb and windows 7 home premium on my 120 gb, both 64 bit. So if I find the .exe files, and import all of the icons to my 120 gb, I can run anything that I have from the 1 tb, as long as I know where the .exe files are?

No. It doesn't work that way. Anything installed while booted to Windows 10 is only available when you're running Windows 10. Anything that you installed while booted to Windows 7 is only available when running Windows 7. You cannot just move an exe from your Windows 10 drive to your Windows 7 drive and have it work.

Alrighty, then what if I install my games and my files and stuff to the 1tb, after the 1tb has been formated? Can I have shortcuts to run them or do they have to all be on the w 120 gb to work?
