I have 2 RAMs. one is 4GB 1600Mhz 2nd one is 2GB 1333MHz. But in task manager It shows RAM speed is 1333MHZ. What about the 16

The BIOS will automatically default to whatever the specs of the slowest DIMM are. They cannot be run at two different speeds.

BTW - it is not generally advisable to mix DIMMs of different densities or different speeds. Even mismatched sets with the same ratings don't always play nice together

I don't know if it is "useless" but it will not run at that speed with a slower DIMM in the other slot. I would say that the extra capacity is more important than the faster speed anyway.

Honestly, the difference between 1333 and 1600 MHz is not something that you would probably notice.
