I have 3gb of ram but Physical memory has only 2559total memory?

hello guys i have a 2gb ddr2 + 1gb ddr2 ram and it is DUAL CHANNEL UNGANGED but i expect it to have 3000mb total memory is there anything wrong i test it and in my experience it boost my pc performance a little thanks hope u guys can help me with this situation im using 32 bit windows 7

If you are using onboard graphics, some of your RAM will be reserved for that.

Some of the ram is reserved for system resources so having 2559 available would be totally normal! If you had 4GB normal is to have just over 3GB avaiable.
