I just bought a new Acer apsire R11. I was very excited it looked so good. However when I opened it and downloaded skype and started to video chat with my friends. I found that the cpu usage is always at 100%... Skype uses 60% and any other program uses nearly the same percent. The computer becomes so laggy and sometimes freezes.

It has Celeron N3050. I am pretty sure it should handle all that, After all a phone can do that at the same time.

So Any solutions?

Solution
The N3050 is very under powered chip so I won't be surprised if it will be maxed out under regular use.

The Aspire R11 is meant for a media device, much like a tablet but with a physical keyboard.

Try disabling sone services and startup programs by opening the Windows program msconfig.

Also take note of the system memory and see if that is maxing out as well.

It cant even be considerd it as a tablet....
A tablet can make 2 side video call but a laptop cant??
It costs 400$ just for media.. well that was disappointing.

The memory is stable at 40 or less. It is 4gb.

If you still can, I would return the Aspire R11 and purchase one of these (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lenovo-ideapad-15-6-inch-Laptop-Notebook/dp/B015Q3BD74/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1452795751&sr=1-1) which costs less and will perform better.

I hope I can. After all I have bought it today so.. Wish me luck. Thanks for the suggestion.
